Sad News - Fraggle
The Togteam are so very, very sad to have learnt of the sudden and unexpected death of long-time Crew member, Fraggle.
Since the very beginning of Togfest history, Fraggle has been a very enthusiastic, committed and reliable member of our Crew, cheerfully helping with build, takedown and also crewing behind the scenes on The Courtyard Stage.
Fraggle’s funeral will be held at Crownhill Crematorium on Monday 16th February at 2.00 p.m. Afterwards at Queen Victoria at Bradwell Village then onto The Eager Poet, Neath Hill.
Because Togfest had become such a very special and important part of Fraggle’s life, his family and friends would be very pleased to see Crew T shirts being worn by any Togcrew who are able to attend.
There will also be a Fraggle Day at Woughton on Sunday 29th March with several bands performing and any monies raised going to the charity Headway. (Again, Togcrew T shirts are apparently very welcome.)
Some of you may not realise that Fraggle’s occasional ‘exuberant’ behaviour was due to the very serious brain damage he suffered as a result of a terrible assault a couple of years ago, which makes Headway a very appropriate recipient.
The 29th March was to be the date of the annual Crew Party but in the circumstances, we have now re-arranged, and the party will now be held the week afterwards on Sunday the 5th April.(Even though the party invites had not yet been sent, Fraggle had already phoned to let us know that he was really looking forward to attending. Now, sadly, we will be going to his ‘party’. Isn’t life just **** sometimes.)
Fraggle, you will be very much missed by all your friends at Togfest. We hope you have found peace.
